16gb SDHC card Vista & XP will not read it

I wonder if things would change once I put more than 8gb of data on the card. I will tell you if this works when I receive the reader. I have a Transcend 5-in1 as well and it doesnt read my sdhc card.

My SanDisk 8GB card works with no problem with all of my readers including the Transcend S5 the light stays on continuously with microomate one. Any help is appreciated.
